Referral Agent Program Terms
Welcome to the Jasmine Lane Referral Agent program. This page explains how the program works, what you earn, what counts, and what we ask of you. By checking the box at signup, you agree to these terms.
What this is. Jasmine Lane helps Fulton County homeowners who are paying too much in property taxes appeal and lower their bill. Homeowners pay nothing upfront — we only get paid if they save money. Referral Agents help us find homeowners we can help, and earn a fee for each one who signs up.
How it works. You sign up, read the program rules, and get a personal referral link (jasminelane.app/ref/yourname). Share it with people you know — neighbors, friends, coworkers, your social channels. Anyone can check their address on our site for free. When someone signs up through your link and we file their appeal, you earn $50.
What counts as a qualified signup. All three of these must be true:
- The homeowner reached us through your referral link, and
- They completed a paid signup, and
- We accepted their case and filed the appeal.
One payout per property, ever. If two agents refer the same homeowner, the payout goes to the agent whose link the homeowner used when they signed up.
What doesn't count.
- Your own home, or a home you have an ownership stake in. You can absolutely use Jasmine Lane for your own property — we'd love that — but it doesn't earn a referral fee, and neither does a property owned by someone in your household.
- Signups we can't file. If someone signs up but our review finds we can't make a strong case for their property, we refund them and no referral fee is earned. We only file appeals we believe in.
- Duplicates. A property that's already a Jasmine Lane customer, or already earned a referral payout, doesn't earn another one.
How and when you get paid. Referral fees are paid monthly, after the appeal is filed. Before your first payout we'll ask you to complete a W-9 (standard for independent contractors — takes two minutes). If your total earnings reach the IRS reporting threshold in a calendar year, we'll send you a 1099-NEC in January.
What we ask of you.
- Be accurate. Tell people what Jasmine Lane actually does: a free property check, and a property tax appeal where the homeowner pays only if they save money. Don't promise savings, don't promise specific outcomes, and don't invent statistics.
- Be honest about who you are. You're a Referral Agent — an independent contractor who earns a fee when someone you refer signs up. If someone asks whether you're paid, say yes. Never present yourself as a Jasmine Lane employee, a county official, or a lawyer.
- Share, don't spam. Share your link with people and communities you're genuinely part of. Don't buy lists, don't post it where it isn't welcome, and — this one is a hard rule — never send unsolicited bulk texts, emails, or calls. Text or email only people you personally know or who have asked to hear from you. Unsolicited messaging violates federal law (the TCPA and CAN-SPAM Act) and is grounds for immediate removal from the program.
- Keep our materials intact. If we give you social assets or a handout template, personalize your name and contact info freely — but leave the statistics, dollar figures, and disclaimers as written.
What this isn't. You're not an employee or agent of Jasmine Lane. You have no authority to bind Jasmine Lane to anything, sign anyone up on their behalf, negotiate fees, or make legal representations. The homeowner always completes their own signup, on our site, themselves.
Removal and leaving. We can pause or end your participation at our discretion — for example, for misrepresentation, spam, or attempted self-referral. Fees already earned on legitimate qualified signups are still paid — but signups obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or a violation of these terms never qualify, and we can reverse them. Our determination of whether a signup qualifies is final. You can leave anytime by emailing us; your link will be deactivated.
Data and privacy. We collect what you provide at signup plus your referral activity. When someone signs up through your link, we'll tell you it happened and pay you the fee — but we don't share the homeowner's address, contact information, or savings details with you. Our main Privacy Policy applies.
Changes. We may update these terms as the program evolves; we'll email active agents when we do, and continued participation means you accept the update. One exception: any change that reduces the referral fee gets at least 14 days' notice and never applies to signups already earned.
The legal fine print.
- You're an independent contractor, not an employee. You're responsible for your own taxes, your own expenses, and your own conduct — including anything you say about Jasmine Lane beyond the materials we provide.
- No earnings guarantee. We pay $50 per qualified signup, exactly as described above. We make no promises about how many referrals you'll get or how much you'll earn.
- We can pause or end the program at any time. If we do, fees already earned on legitimate qualified signups still get paid.
- Georgia law governs these terms, and our website Terms of Service also apply to your use of the site.
